Mission
The College of Arts & Sciences, Biology seeks a Research Technician to maintain dung beetle colonies, assist with lab maintenance and management, submit lab safety and regulatory permits, and work closely with trainees and the Principal Investigator to support ongoing research projects.
Responsibilities
- Maintain dung beetle colonies
- Assist with lab maintenance and management
- Submit lab safety and regulatory permits
- Work closely with trainees and the Principal Investigator to support ongoing research projects
- Troubleshoot and train students on beetle care and basic lab techniques
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 1-3 years of experience
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biology and experience working with insects, particularly dung beetles. They should also possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
