Research Support Specialist
About the Role
The Center for Women’s Mental Health is a clinical and research program within the Department of Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital. Our Program is dedicated to the evaluation and treatment of psychiatric disorders associated with female reproductive function. The Center provides a range of clinical services to women, including consultation on psychiatric medications during pregnancy, treatment for postpartum mood and anxiety disorders, premenstrual syndrome, and menopause-related mood and anxiety symptoms, sleep disorders, and hot flashes.
The goal of our research division is to examine questions affecting the lives of women with psychiatric conditions. Research projects align with the Center’s clinical expertise. The Bulfinch temp will work closely with the research coordinators to support the National Pregnancy Registry for Psychiatric Medications and the clinical education initiatives of the Center.
Currently, the team includes seven Clinical Research Coordinators, a program manager, program coordinator, project manager, biostatistician, psychologist, and eight psychiatrists—two of whom are Principal Investigators. The research coordinators and principal investigators meet weekly to review study progress, and the whole Center meets once weekly to review clinical cases and discuss advances in the field. The Bulfinch temp is welcome to attend these meetings if interested and available.
