Research Study Coordinator, Infectious Disease

Job Summary

Captures data for biomedical & social-behavioral research studies under the supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI).

Specific Responsibilities

• Participates in research study planning and execution, including participant recruitment and retention.
• Administers tests & questionnaires according to protocols.
• Collects, compiles, tabulates, and processes responses.
• Gathers and extracts information from medical charts.
• Analyzes data and prepares reports for investigators and sponsors.
• Writes portions of grant applications and co-authors scientific papers.
• Completes documents related to regulatory guidelines, requirements, laws, and research protocols.
• Processes payments for research participants and negotiates grant funding.
• Coordinates reimbursements for travel, consultant pay, and additional expenses.

Minimum Qualifications

• Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in a relevant field or appropriate combination of education and experience.
• Master's or higher degree in a relevant field or appropriate combination of education and experience.
• Completion of NU's IRB CITI training and re-certification every 3 years.

Minimum Competencies

• Ability to complete the requirements of the Northwestern Memorial Hospital Research Access Program.
• Knowledge of English and Spanish languages (fluency preferred).
• Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word).
• Adaptability, action orientation, coachability, collaboration, collegiality, initiative, meeting deadlines, multi-tasking, organization, and flexibility.

Pay

Target hiring range: $19.89-$27.97 per hour.
