Research Study Coordinator, Cardiology
Job Summary
Captures and analyzes data for biomedical & social-behavioral research studies under the supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI). Ensures compliance with Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and relevant regulations.
Specific Responsibilities
- Participates in research study planning and execution, including participant recruitment and retention.
- Obtains informed consent and administers tests/questionnaires according to protocols.
- Collects, compiles, and processes responses; extracts and analyzes data.
- Prepares reports for investigators and sponsors on recruitment status and other study data.
- Writes portions of grant applications and co-authors scientific papers.
- Collates mathematical results and prepares tables, charts, and graphs.
- Completes documents related to regulatory guidelines, requirements, laws, and research protocols.
- Processes payments for research participants and negotiates grant funding.
- Coordinates reimbursements for travel, consultant pay, and additional expenses.
Minimum Qualifications
- Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in a social or health science-related field or equivalent experience.
- Master’s degree in a social or health science-related field or equivalent experience.
- Completion of Northwestern University’s IRB CITI training and ongoing certification.
Minimum Competencies
- Ability to complete Northwestern Memorial Hospital Research Access Program requirements.
- Experience in clinical settings and/or clinical research.
- Judgment, decision-making, discretion, action-oriented, coachability, collaboration, collegiality, initiative, meets deadlines, multi-tasking, organization.

Pay
Target hiring range: $19.89 - 27.97 per hour. Offered salary determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and market data.
