As a Research Student II Post Baccalaureate, you will work closely with research personnel and actively participate in a structured learning experience in laboratory or clinical research settings. In this role, you will gain hands‑on experience in laboratory techniques, clinical procedures, data collection and analysis, and other related skills, providing valuable exposure to careers in biomedical and clinical research.

Responsibilities

• Learn laboratory techniques to support ongoing research projects in a laboratory or clinical setting.
• Learn how to record and analyze data related to research experiments or data sets.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications

• Undergraduate degree.
• May be accepted/enrolled in an accredited college or university as a medical student, MA/MS student or other graduate program (excludes students in a PhD program).
• This position is NOT applicable to anyone who has completed all requirements for master’s or other advanced degrees.

Preferred qualifications

• Previous research laboratory experience with a focus in a science or healthcare‑related field of study.

Physical requirements

• Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
• Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment.
• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
• Ability to distinguish color.
• Manual dexterity to handle specimens and repair equipment.
• Ability to lift and transport equipment or specimens weighing up to 20 pounds.
• May be exposed to hazardous chemicals, biohazards, radioactive materials, etc.
• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Schedule

Days from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Pay

Minimum hourly: $15.00
Maximum hourly: $150.00
The pay range reflects the anticipated range for new hires and does not include shift differentials, overtime, or the value of Cleveland Clinic’s benefits package.
