Job Summary
To coordinate and conduct research projects and related activities as assigned. To coordinate the recruitment, data collection, and retention of research participants in accordance with established study protocols and in accordance with FDA and other research guidelines. To ensure adherence to applicable policies, procedures, standards, and practices.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree plus two (2) years related experience.
Responsibilities
- Participates in and coordinates the planning, development, and implementation of research protocols in accordance with established research parameters.
- Recruits, enrolls, and retains eligible research participants, ensuring required documentation is collected and processed.
- Provides basic study background and education to participants.
- Oversees and conducts the planning, scheduling and implementation of daily research activities and procedures, ensuring adequate care and respect for participants.
- Inputs data and maintains records needed for research.
- Distributes research information to faculty, research staff, investigators, and others as requested.
- Safeguards all research activities by ensuring they are carried out in accordance with established research protocols, clinical procedures, and safety standards.
Physical and Environmental Demands
- Frequent exposure to unpleasant or disagreeable physical environment such as high noise level and exposure to heat and cold.
- Frequent handling or working with potentially dangerous equipment.
- Exposure to biohazardous conditions such as risk of radiation exposure, blood borne pathogens, fumes or airborne particles, and/or toxic or caustic chemicals.
- Occasional working hours significantly beyond regularly scheduled hours.
- Occasional travelling to offsite locations.
- Occasional activities subject to significant volume changes of a seasonal/clinical nature.
- Constant work produced subject to precise measures of quantity and quality.
