Research Senior Associate - Comprehensive Cancer Center

Responsibilities

• collaborate with Principal Investigator (PI) to develop, manage and implement research projects
• design and conduct complex experiments utilizing cell lines and organoid models
• plan and execute advanced molecular biological and biochemical procedures such as cell and organoid culture, realtime PCR, immunofluorescence, immunoblot, ELISA, and cloning techniques
• analyze and evaluate experimental data
• develop and implements new or revised research methods
• assist PI in research & development efforts of new research projects
• plan and write abstracts and manuscripts for publication in scientific journals
• attend and present research results at national scientific conferences and workshops
• actively contribute to developing, writing, editing and critiquing research grant proposals
• oversee appropriate maintenance of laboratory equipment and purchasing of reagents
• implement laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Safety Manual and ensure compliance to local, state and federal laboratory guidelines

Requirements

• Master's Degree or equivalent experience required; 3 years of relevant experience required with Bachelor's Degree, or 1 year of relevant experience required with Master's Degree
• PhD preferred
