About the Role

Lockheed Martin Skunk Works and its ISR & UAS line-of-business seeks a motivated and enthusiastic candidate to join the Signature Management & Survivability Team as the Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead. The role involves leading a team of engineers responsible for low observable technology maturation, modeling and simulation, prototype build and test, and external customer communication and marketing. The candidate will serve as the Low Observable (LO) signature subject matter expert (SME) in Government forums and internal Skunk Works program reviews.

Responsibilities

  • Perform, analyze, and communicate vehicle signature predictions using Unix-based codes and tools.
  • Lead a team of signature integration, LO Materials, Supportable LO, and EM Designers to ensure baseline program requirements are met and develop solutions for new capabilities.
  • Engage in the research, design, computational electromagnetic modeling, fabrication, and testing of advanced electromagnetic metamaterials.
  • Plan, perform, post-process, and communicate results of laboratory, field, flight, and vehicle signature measurements.
  • Write and use scripts to batch analysis and post-processing.
  • Develop and deliver technical reports and briefings to large groups, explaining complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Interact with customers/clients, perceive their needs, and prepare successful technical proposals, including cost/schedule estimates.
  • Develop and execute R&D plans to meet needs defined by management or the customer.
  • Provide technical direction for multidisciplinary design teams to solve challenging aircraft survivability problems in low observables, infrared signature reduction, and LO realms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or Optics.
  • Experience working with Radar Cross Section (RCS) signature reduction.
  • U.S. Citizenship with an active DoD TS/SCI Security Clearance.

Skills

  • Recognized Subject Matter Expert in low observables (LO), survivability, or susceptibility.
  • Experience with radar cross section reduction (RCSR) or radio-frequency (RF) antenna design/integration.
  • Expertise in LO modeling and predictions: Computational electromagnetics (CEM), Hybrid Finite Element, Boundary Integral method (FE-BI), Method of Moments (MoM), Xpatch, SENTRi, HFSS, CST Microwave Studio, FDTD.
  • Experience with LO integration / multi-discipline air vehicle systems design.
  • Knowledge of RADAR, RF materials, and RF material measurements.
  • Programming with C/C++, Java, Fortran, Matlab, Python.
  • CAD software literacy for model cleanup and meshing.
  • 4+ years of experience as an Integrated Product Team Lead for Signature Management on an LO Program.

Benefits

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage.
  • Flexible work arrangements and schedules (e.g., 4x10).
  • 401(k) match.
  • Paid time off, holidays, and parental leave.
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
  • Flexible Spending Accounts.
  • Education Assistance.
  • Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability.
  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs (performance-based).

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $166,900.00 - $309,900.00. The salary offered considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, and market/work location.

Schedule

  • For non-represented full-time employees (Washington state applicants only): Accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.
  • For represented full-time employees: Accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
  • PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
