Research Scientist PT

Purpose Statement/Position Summary

The Research Scientist will be responsible for supporting development and maintenance of population pharmacokinetic/dynamic analysis, simulation and dosing programs. Will interact with a team of highly motivated mathematicians, physicians, and engineers, working on innovative methodological approaches to individualize drug therapy. In particular, s/he will adapt and apply novel high dimensional statistical analyses to harmacometrics problems.

Responsibilities

• Train and mentor students and scientists at USC/CHLA, and from other institutions.

Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience

• 5+ years of post-graduate research and teaching, with experience in quantitative biology and pharmacometrics.
• Experience in statistical and computational approaches to modeling complex biological systems.
• Experience in developing and using population models for inference and control.
• Experience in algorithm development.

Education/Licensure/Certification

• Ph.D. in statistics, quantitative biology, computer science, or allied field with completed and published thesis work in quantitative biology.
• 3 years of postdoctoral fellowship training.
