About the team
The Seed LLM team is dedicated to advancing the next generation of LLMs and solving fundamental challenges in LLM development. Our areas of focus include model pretraining, posttraining, inference, memory capabilities, learning, interpretability and other related directions. We dive deep into the latest technologies and create comprehensive solutions from concept to completion. In our endeavor to adopt LLMs in real-life scenarios, we explore methods to enhance applications through technological innovation.
Responsibilities
- Explore large-scale models and optimize systems.
- Data construction, instruction tuning, preference alignment, and model optimization.
- Improving relevant model capabilities, such as reasoning, code, math etc.
- In-depth research and exploration of future use cases.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field, with an expected graduation date in 2027 and the ability to commit to an onboarding date by the end of 2027.
- Excellent coding ability, data structures, and fundamental algorithm skills, proficient in C/C++ or Python, etc.
- Demonstrated interest or project experience in LLM-related areas such as training, evaluation, or applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with machine learning, deep learning, or large-scale models through internships is preferred.
- Strong problem analysis and problem-solving skills and good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a team.
Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (Annually) The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $212800 - $387600 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units. Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
