Research Scientist/Engineer

About the role

Strategic Analysis, Inc. (SA) is currently seeking a cleared, Scientist / Engineer / SME I to support Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA).

Responsibilities

• Experience at progressively more difficult levels in planning and developing technical projects of an R&D nature, concerned with unique or controversial problems that have an important effect on major DoD programs.
• Possesses expert credentials or recognition as an authority in a technical, managerial, or scientific field, with the mature judgment required to advise senior Government personnel.
• Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
• The individual will have demonstrated the ability to make decisions independently on R&D engineering problems and methods, to resolve important questions, and to plan and coordinate work.
• Demonstrated experience in the use of advanced techniques, theories, precepts, and practices in a scientific or technological discipline is required.
• Highly Desirable:
• 3 years of experience
• Demonstrated experience in one or more DARPA technical areas.
• Experience with basic and applied research.
• Published articles in field of expertise.
• DARPA or similar agency experience preferred.

• Education: Bachelor's degree required
• Clearance: DoD Secret
• Position requires coming in the office, some telework possible.
