About the role
We are seeking a researcher with a passion for pushing the boundaries of efficient deep learning. The ideal candidate will contribute to our team's efforts in publishing at top venues in computer vision and machine learning.
Responsibilities
- Research and design novel methods for efficient deep learning.
- Implement these methods in practice.
- Collaborate with other team members and cross-functional teams.
- Mentor interns and contribute to the team's publications.
- Present findings at conferences and events.
- Work with product groups to translate research into practical applications.
- Collaborate with external researchers to advance the field.
Requirements
- Completing or recently completed a Ph.D. in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc., or equivalent research experience.
- Excellent knowledge of computer vision methods and deep learning.
- Background in pruning, quantization, neural architecture search (NAS), efficient backbone networks, and related areas.
- Experience with large language models and large vision-language models.
- Strong programming skills in Python and PyTorch; proficiency in C++ and parallel programming (e.g., CUDA) is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with large-scale model training, including data preparation and model parallelization (tensor and pipeline).
- Outstanding research track record.
- Excellent communication skills.
Qualifications

Benefits
- NVIDIA offers a competitive base salary range of $168,000 - $264,500, depending on location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
- Equity and benefits are also provided.
