About the role
The Global Products Group (GPG) of KLA, a global leader in semiconductor manufacturing, is seeking a Research Scientist, Software Engineer, Application Development Engineer, or Senior Product Technology Process Engineer with expertise in Computational Electromagnetics.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage Computational Electromagnetic Software
- Work within a small team environment and collaborate with external contractors and consultants
- Provide effective presentations and written evaluations to internal customers to showcase product capabilities
- Interface with customers to understand their needs and provide feedback on product performance and market gaps
- Collaborate with other internal development programs to lead development, testing, and capability deployment
Requirements
- Doctorate (Academic) in the physical sciences or engineering with at least 2 years of experience
- Experience developing and managing Computational Electromagnetics Software
- Strong background in theory and application of Electromagnetics concepts
- Proficient in numerical simulations in computational Electromagnetics
- Strong background in computer programming, especially in performance profiling, memory optimization, and parallel computing
- Experience with GPU programming is a strong plus
- Proficient in C++ and Python, especially in writing production-quality, object-oriented code
- Experience in semiconductors (electrical properties, manufacturing, and metrology) is a plus
- Ability and willingness to travel worldwide to support projects at customer sites
Qualifications
- Doctorate (Academic) Degree and 0 years related work experience
- Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 3 years
- Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 5 years
Pay
Base Pay Range: $105,900.00 - $180,000.00 Annually
