Key Responsibilities
- Design and Synthesis: Develop innovative organic and organometallic molecules using advanced synthetic methodologies to meet specific performance criteria for OLED devices.
- Material Characterization: Investigate and analyze the photophysical, electrochemical, and thermal properties of synthesized compounds to assess their suitability for OLED applications.
- Collaborative Development: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams of chemists, physicists, and engineers to optimize molecular structures and synthetic routes for scalability and device integration.
- Innovation and Problem Solving: Apply deep knowledge of synthetic organic chemistry to solve complex challenges in material stability, efficiency, and color purity.
- Technology Advancement: Contribute to the development of next-generation OLED materials through continuous innovation and rigorous research.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Chemistry with 2+ years of industrial synthetic organic chemistry experience
- In depth understanding and proven experience with the synthesis and characterization of organic and/or organometallic compounds
- Demonstrated experience multi-step organic synthesis and/or organic synthesis methodology is preferred
- Demonstrated understanding of organic and organometallic reaction mechanisms
- Knowledge of modern analytical techniques (HPLC, GC, MS, NMR, UV) and instrumentation (automated purification systems) for the isolation and identification of organic compounds
- Experienced in basic computer software and internet applications including: MS Office Suit, ChemDraw, e-notebook and LIMS
- Strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and ability to prioritize projects and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and proactively with minimal direction
- Ability to perform and succeed in a multi-disciplinary team environment
- Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with peers and management
- Ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems in an efficient, proactive manner
- Demonstrated track record of accuracy and thoroughness
