Work alongside researchers, developers, and experts to tackle impactful challenges in healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Build models and datasets connecting early drug discovery to the clinic, spanning drug perturbation prediction, clinical translatability, patient stratification, and digital twins.
- Design benchmarks and evaluation methods for agentic systems in digital biology, and characterize where current LLMs underperform.
- Publish original research and release open-source software.
- Collaborate with external research leaders in digital biology.
- Partner with research and engineering teams across NVIDIA to transition research into products and services.
Requirements
- BS/MS or PhD in a quantitative field: computational biology, computer science, computational chemistry, physics, mathematics, or equivalent experience.
- Publication record in digital biology, ideally with clinical applications.
- 5+ years of experience building and training machine learning models at scale, including compute infrastructure.
- Proficiency with modern ML frameworks such as PyTorch or JAX.
- Fluency with statistical foundations like causal inference, experimental design, or clinical biostatistics.
- Ability to learn from and teach others to stay current with the latest developments in the field.
- Strong collaboration skills in a tight-knit team environment.
Skills
- Track record of state-of-the-art methods development in the clinical domain.
- Experience with clinical trial data, electronic health records, or regulatory science.
- Rigor in evaluation: temporal validation, benchmark design, assessing data leakage, and characterizing distribution shift.
- Background in open-source development.
Benefits
NVIDIA offers a generous benefits package and is widely considered one of the technology world’s most desirable employers. The role includes equity and comprehensive benefits.
