About the Program
The Research Science Institute (RSI) is the world's most competitive and prestigious summer scientific research program for high school students. Organized by the Center for Excellence in Education (CEE), it takes place at MIT in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Over 6 weeks, participants work alongside scientists and researchers on original research projects in physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, engineering, computer science, and humanities. The program is completely free — including housing, meals, and materials. RSI alumni have won virtually every major youth science award in the world: Intel STS, Regeneron, and others. It accepts only 80 students per year from around the globe.
