Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Cook up all activities of a research study to ensure validity of findings.
- Work with the Principal Investigator or senior research staff to develop operational plans to meet research goals.
- Develop tools and procedures for data collection and study processes.
- Collect and organize data per study requirements, e.g. participant interviews, administer questionnaires; conduct background research, laboratory processing, etc.
- Ensure adherence to protocols and procedures.
- Aid in setting up data collection system and enter and organize data.
- Oversee record management for research study.
- Aid in coordinating study meetings.
- Participate in study meetings and provide updates on protocol implementation status and make recommendations on operational issues.
- Conduct literature searches to provide background information.
Additional Duties
- Coordinate all activities of the FRESH research study to ensure validity of findings.
- Identify and recruit research venues and participants.
- Coordinate logistics related to implementation of research and program activities and trainings in Baltimore, MD and Washington, DC.
- Develop intervention materials including posters, flyers, newsletters, and giveaways (handouts, etc.).
- Oversee student interventionists and data collectors who assist in implementation of program activities.
- May contribute to development of scholarly journal articles and presentation of program activities to funders and community stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field. Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a high school diploma/graduation equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
- Preferred Qualifications: 1-3 years related experience, Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, Demonstrated ability to communicate and interact effectively with diverse clientele and colleagues.
