Research Opportunities - Infectious Diseases
Location: Saint Louis, MO 63110. Scheduled hours: 40 per week.
About the role
Our lab is interested in defining new antimalarial drug targets. We will use techniques for genetic modification and computational prediction to understand function and draggability of targets. Candidates with a PhD (or equivalent) who are interested in scientist or postdoctoral roles are strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research to define new antimalarial drug targets using genetic modification and computational prediction techniques.
Working Conditions
This position works in a laboratory environment with potential exposure to biological and chemical hazards. The individual must be physically able to wear protective equipment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education.
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent terminal degree.
- Background in cell biology and genetic modification.
