About the role
We are seeking a PhD candidate in machine learning, computer science, computational biology, physics, mathematics, or a related field to join our team. Your work will directly advance our research and contribute to the development of new therapies.
Responsibilities
- Own a research project that contributes to the advancement of Output's models and methods.
- Collaborate with the full-time team to design and run ML experiments, including training models and analyzing results.
- Interpret experimental results and communicate findings clearly.
- Contribute to the development of open-source machine learning or computational biology projects.
Requirements
- A strong research track record, demonstrated by publications or submitted work at venues such as NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, or relevant computational biology conferences.
- Hands-on experience designing and running ML experiments, including training models and analyzing results.
- Proficiency in Python and PyTorch, and comfort working with large-scale datasets and GPU infrastructure.
- Experience applying machine learning to biological, chemical, or molecular data.
- A background in computational biology, biophysics, chemistry, or a related natural science.
- Experience with generative models, representation learning, or self-supervised learning.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a PhD in machine learning, computer science, computational biology, physics, mathematics, or a related field.
- Passionate and committed to contributing to the success of Output.
Skills
- Strong programming skills in Python and PyTorch.
- Experience with large-scale datasets and GPU infrastructure.
- Ability to work independently on a research problem.
- Experience with generative models, representation learning, or self-supervised learning.
- Background in computational biology, biophysics, chemistry, or a related natural science.
- Experience with open-source machine learning or computational biology projects.
