About the role
We are seeking postdoctoral researchers to investigate mechanisms of neurodegeneration, focusing on tau biology and protein homeostasis, particularly UFMylation, in relation to Alzheimer’s disease and other tauopathies.
Responsibilities
- Studying tau aggregation and propagation
- Identifying UFM1‑modified proteins and pathways using biochemical and proteomic techniques
- Performing mechanistic studies in iPSC‑derived cells and mouse models
- Exploring genetic and pharmacological modulation of UFMylation as potential therapies
Requirements
Ideal candidates hold a recent Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. with a background in neuroscience, cell biology, or biochemistry.
Skills
- Experience with iPSC models, mouse work, imaging, or proteomics (preferred)
- Record of impactful peer‑reviewed publications
- Excellent communication skills
Benefits
The role offers a competitive stipend, comprehensive benefits, and a dynamic research environment dedicated to advancing understanding of neurodegenerative diseases.
