RESEARCH ENGINEER II (MECHANICAL) (2)

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Affords assistance in design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and systems.
• Supports meetings, teleconferences, and travel as required by projects.
• Reports to EITD Mechanical Engineering Section Lead.
• Performs simple and routine engineering design tasks with standard techniques.
• Assists more senior engineers in the preparation of plans, designs, computation methods, and reports.
• Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.
• Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and four (4) years of related experience required.
• Minimal Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
• Ability to use various engineering and documentation/analysis software, MS Word, and Excel.
• Ability to problem-solve.
• Ability to work independently.
• Conflict resolution skills.
• Interpersonal skills.
• Organizational skills.
• Technical Communication skills (verbal & written).

• Ability to train others.
• Mechanical Design experience using CAD software.

• Mechanical Engineering design experience for the integration of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Mechanical Fabrication and Assembly experience.
• Mechanical Engineering experience for aerospace applications.

Pay

Annual Salary: $67,070 - $108,990
