Research Engineer - FPGA Design

About the role

Architect and develop embedded systems for real-time controls and industrial communication applications. Collaborate with external agencies and academic partners, contribute to research efforts, publish technical papers, and file patents. Assist in transitioning prototypes to field-ready products.

Requirements

• Ph.D., Master’s with industry experience, or Bachelor’s with extensive experience in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
• Expertise in FPGA/SoC design using Verilog, VHDL, and SystemVerilog
• Experience with Xilinx/Intel tools, digital logic, RTL simulation, high-speed interfaces, and hardware verification
• Knowledge of embedded programming, Linux systems, and version control is preferred
• Legal work authorization in the U.S.
• Willing to work in Niskayuna, NY
