Research Engineer - Foundational AI

About the role

We are a neuro first company. As a Research Engineer here, you will build AI systems focused on neural data, capable of accomplishing previously impossible tasks.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and enhance massive-scale distributed machine learning systems.
• Produce bug-free machine learning code.
• Contribute to the neuroscience underlying algorithmic innovations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, or physics.
• 4+ years of software engineering experience.
• 4+ years of experience with deep learning libraries (e.g., PyTorch, JAX, or Julia).
• Experience working in large distributed systems.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in statistics or a related field.
• Experience in dense time series and/or other continuous data types.
• Experience in signal processing.
• Past experience in creating high-performance implementations of deep learning algorithms.
• Interest and thoughtful consideration regarding the impacts of AI on cognitive freedom.
