Research & Development (R&D) Engineer - Sporting Goods

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of new products, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and market needs.
• Create and test prototypes, conducting rigorous performance and durability tests. Analyze test results and refine product designs accordingly.
• Work closely with design, production, and marketing teams to ensure seamless integration of product ideas, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and consumer preferences, incorporating insights into product design and development strategies.
• Ensure products comply with industry standards and regulations, working with compliance teams to meet safety certification requirements.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and apply best practices to enhance the efficiency, quality, and innovation of our product offerings.

Required Skills

• Must have Bachelor's degree in Engineering and must have strong skills in engineering mechanics and strength of materials.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees and to respond effectively to common inquiries or complaints while having the ability to effectively present information to management.
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
• Ability to set priorities based on current business needs and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to coordinate with local and remote team members.
• Self-starter with drive for results and attention to detail.
• Independently complete assignments within established time frames.
