Research Data Specialist - Hematologic Malignancy Data Repository

About the role

The Research Data Specialist will support the Hematologic Malignancy Data Repository (HMDR) within the Heme Malignancy clinical research program at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, under the direction of Principal Investigator Dr. Coleman Lindsley. Responsibilities focus on data collection, computing, and database organization for clinical, genomic, and pathologic information on patients with hematologic abnormalities, including acute leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and other blood cancers.

This is a hybrid position requiring two or three days per week onsite in Boston, MA. Remote work may only be performed from a New England state (ME, VT, NH, MA, CT, RI).

Responsibilities

• Interview and collaborate with clinicians and scientists to develop and refine database architecture.
• Examine, synthesize, and evaluate medical records to abstract and record pertinent clinical and research data.
• Monitor patient status and ensure data is collected, managed, and reviewed for quality assurance.
• Serve as a content expert to help clinical and translational researchers develop data requests and enhance database functionality.
• Review and abstract medical records for research patients on assigned trials.
• Enter identified clinical data points into corresponding databases within outlined timelines.
• Assist research teams with the development, testing, and implementation of Case Report Forms for PI-Initiated clinical trials.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or 1 year of experience as a Dana-Farber Associate Research Data Specialist.
• 0-1 years of experience in a medical, scientific research, or technology-oriented business environment (preferred).

Pay

Salary range: $50,500.00 - $56,700.00, based on market pay structures, relevant experience, skills, and qualifications.
