Research Coordinator, Long Term Memory Lab - Psychology
Position Summary
This position requires candidates to be able to work independently in a high paced environment and take initiative when necessary, multitask, and possess outstanding organizational skills. Candidate will manage recruiting and enrolling participants which involves coordinating schedules and contacting participants via telephone and email. Organizational skills are critical to overseeing data collection and data storage including study records for multiple on-going research projects.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out behavioral and neural experiments including consenting, recording, debriefing, and paying participants
- Training lab members in behavioral data collection
- Scheduling and managing undergraduate research assistants
- Presenting research at lab meetings
- Presenting research at local and/or national conferences
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in related field
- Preferred Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in psychology, neuroscience, cognitive neuroscience, biomedical engineering, computer science, or any other related fields
- Experience: Previous research experience (>1 year)
- Strong quantitative skills and familiarity with standard neuroimaging analysis methods are a plus, but not required.
Physical Demands
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
Salary Range
The anticipated hiring range is $22.50-$25.00/hour, commensurate with education and experience.
Position Type & Work Location
This is a non-exempt-level, benefited position. Learn more about UVA benefits. This is a restricted position, which is dependent on funding and is contingent upon funding availability. This position is based in Charlottesville, VA with on-site presence required.
