About the role
The Safety, Quality, and Well-Being Institute at Houston Methodist is seeking a Research Coordinator to support interdisciplinary projects focusing on patient safety, healthcare quality, and clinician well-being. The role involves coordinating research projects, managing timelines and budgets, and contributing to data collection and analysis.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day operations of research and quality improvement projects
- Support grant development and regulatory activities
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and data use agreements
- Organize and facilitate scientific meetings
- Contribute to qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis
- Assist with manuscript preparation and presentation
- Provide administrative support for research programs
Requirements
- Master’s degree in public health, health services research, healthcare administration, or related field
- Experience in clinical research, health systems research, or quality improvement
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Familiarity with IRB processes, grant administration, and research compliance
- Experience with data analysis, health informatics, or mixed-methods research preferred
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work across interdisciplinary teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Four years of research experience
