This position is based at Texas Children’s Hospital, 8080 N. Stadium Drive, Houston, TX 77054. Occasional work outside of standard business hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) may be required to accommodate participant schedules, including evenings or after-school hours. Travel to other locations may be required; a valid driver’s license is necessary. Fluency in Spanish is essential for serving Spanish-speaking populations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and prepare research materials, including forms, questionnaires, and study protocols.
- Administer surveys and forms using the web-based platform Qualtrics.
- Prepare and submit Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications and maintain all required regulatory documentation.
- Review patient lists from the Texas Children's Hospital System’s electronic medical record system to identify potential participants.
- Screen potential participants for eligibility and recruit them into the study.
- Advertise the study in psychiatric clinics outside the Texas Children's Hospital System if necessary to meet recruitment goals.
- Schedule and conduct in-person research visits with participants.
- Coordinate necessary procedures such as hand and wrist radiographs and follow-up phone calls to collect data.
- Organize and maintain accurate records of study data.
- Conduct data quality checks to ensure the integrity of the research process.
- Assist with literature reviews to support ongoing research efforts.
- Contribute to manuscript preparation and publication of study findings.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- Three years of relevant experience.
- Fluency in Spanish is essential.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
