Research Coordinator

About the Role

The Research (Physician) Navigator supports clinical research efforts by connecting patients with research opportunities, guiding them through the participation process, and ensuring a seamless experience. This role involves patient engagement, prescreening, chart reviewing, follow-up, trial matching, and coordinating between patients and research teams.

Responsibilities

• Identify and educate eligible patients about research studies.
• Perform pre-screenings and review medical charts for eligibility.
• Maintain ongoing communication with enrolled patients and update research teams.
• Match patients with suitable clinical trials based on their medical history and preferences.
• Coordinate appointments, documentation, and resource referrals.
• Uphold ethical standards, confidentiality, and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records and foster effective communication with staff and patients.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare (preferred).
• Experience in clinical research or patient navigation is desirable.
• Knowledge of clinical research protocols, regulations, and medical terminology.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Empathetic, patient-focused, and ability to build rapport.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and clinical software.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
