About the role

The position involves coordinating and strengthening research efforts in the field of low carbon and smart district development at La Rochelle University. The successful candidate will be based at LaSIE, a joint laboratory with CNRS specializing in sustainable urban development.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and enhance research activities related to low carbon and smart district development.
  • Involvement in research and teaching across four schools within the Smart Sustainable Urban Coastal Institute.
  • Supervise PhD and post-doctoral students.
  • Participation in European or international projects.

Requirements

  • Experience in coordinating or participating in European or international projects.
  • Experience supervising PhD students.
  • Strong background in low carbon and smart district development.
  • Full professor classification and associated budget for PhD/post-doc allocations.

Qualifications

  • Doctorate in relevant field.
  • Proven track record in research and teaching.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Skills

  • Expertise in low carbon and smart district development.
  • Ability to lead interdisciplinary research teams.
  • Strong publication record.

Benefits

  • €75,000 annual salary.
  • €700,000 over 4 years for chair financial support.

Pay

€75,000 per annum.
