Research Broadcast Producer & Director
About the Role
The Translational Health Research Center (THRC) at Texas State University facilitates applied research and events through partnerships with TXST faculty, staff, and students, businesses, community members, nonprofits, and government organizations. The Research Broadcast Producer & Director will develop, lead, host, and handle postproduction for THRC Research Network programming, including writing scripts and managing logistics for research-oriented productions from inception through completion.
This role collaborates with TXST faculty and staff, community and business leaders, faculty and staff at other universities, students, and editors to create programs aligned with THRC’s mission of conducting and sharing health and resilience research through the Extension of Community Health Outreach (ECHO) hub, podcasts, and other broadcast programming.
Responsibilities
- Develop, lead, host, and manage postproduction activities for THRC Research Network programming.
- Write scripts and manage logistics for research-oriented productions.
- Collaborate with TXST faculty and staff, community and business leaders, faculty and staff at other universities, students, and editors.
- Ensure programs align with THRC’s mission of health and resilience research dissemination.
Requirements
- Creative, detail-oriented multimedia professional with experience in broadcast production.
- Experience working at a university research center that partners directly with community and public audiences on research and programming.
