Research Biostatistician

Job Responsibilities

• Provide statistical consultation and research support to faculty, residents, fellows, staff, and medical students.
• Aid with study design, protocol development, data collection planning, and research methodology.
• Conduct sample size and power calculations under appropriate supervision.
• Support the development of statistical analysis plans and research proposals.
• Offer assistance in interpreting and communicating research findings.

Job Duties

• Perform statistical analyses using software such as R, SAS, SPSS, STATA, Python, or equivalent platforms.
• Clean, organize, validate, and manage research datasets.
• Create tables, figures, statistical summaries, and reports for presentations, manuscripts, and research meetings.
• Aid investigators in interpreting and communicating research findings.
• Maintain documentation to support reproducibility and data integrity.

Education and Training

• Assist with workshops and educational sessions focused on research methods and biostatistics.
• Support students and trainees conducting scholarly projects.
• Develop educational materials and resources promoting research best practices.
• Participate in research mentoring and training initiatives.

Research Infrastructure Support

• Assist with REDCap database development and maintenance.
• Support program evaluation, quality improvement, and institutional research initiatives.
• Engage in collaborative projects and special assignments within the Office of Research.
• Contribute to efforts enhancing research infrastructure and scholarly productivity.
