About the role
Building a physical activity LiDAR dataset: collection, labeling, and augmentation for human activity recognition and premature infants.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the collection of LiDAR data and perform various physical activities under different environmental conditions.
- Support the setup, calibration, and operation of LiDAR sensors during data collection sessions.
- Organize, preprocess, and manage collected point cloud datasets to ensure data quality and consistency.
- Label and annotate LiDAR recordings with activity classes, temporal boundaries, and relevant metadata.
- Verify annotation accuracy through quality control and validation procedures.
Requirements
- Current undergraduate student at UM-Flint in Engineering, Computer Science or related fields.
- Basic programming skills.
Qualifications
- Preferred junior or senior standing.
Schedule
Onsite. The work requires, or the supervisor approves, a fully onsite presence at a designated U-M owned or leased work location within or outside of the State of Michigan.
