About the role
The Department of Cell and Developmental Biology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for a Research Associate position in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years).
Responsibilities
- Investigation of the basis by which gene regulatory proteins can invade heterochromatin to elicit cell fate changes.
- Further develop critical thinking skills.
- Familiarize with related literatures and experimental techniques.
- Prepare manuscript and grant preparation.
- Present research findings in national and international meetings.
- Mentor junior scientists.
- Participate in career trainings offered by the University.
Requirements
Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree.
Qualifications
Expertise is required in the specific area of pulldown-mass spec, protein purification and reconstitution, stem cell culture and differentiation, molecular biology, genomics.
