Responsibilities
- Design, modify, and collaborate on research protocols and methodologies.
- Contribute meaningfully to research projects focusing on biological processes of recovery after brain damage using both in vitro and in vivo techniques.
- Perform in vitro laboratory work, including cell culture, PCR, western blotting, DNA/RNA purification, plasmid purification, and basic fluorescence microscopy.
- Manage and husband rodent colonies, including genotyping and recordkeeping.
- Order and manage laboratory supplies and equipment.
- Ensure the laboratory is compliant with environmental health and safety regulations.
- Assist with a variety of cell culture and biochemical experiments.
- Maintain individual and laboratory records according to federal and local standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 6 Years of experience or Master’s degree with 2 years of experience.
- Relevant laboratory experience preferred.
