Research Associate-Senior

Responsibilities

• Design, modify, and collaborate on research protocols and methodologies.
• Contribute meaningfully to research projects focusing on biological processes of recovery after brain damage using both in vitro and in vivo techniques.
• Perform in vitro laboratory work, including cell culture, PCR, western blotting, DNA/RNA purification, plasmid purification, and basic fluorescence microscopy.
• Manage and husband rodent colonies, including genotyping and recordkeeping.
• Order and manage laboratory supplies and equipment.
• Ensure the laboratory is compliant with environmental health and safety regulations.
• Assist with a variety of cell culture and biochemical experiments.
• Maintain individual and laboratory records according to federal and local standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 6 Years of experience or Master’s degree with 2 years of experience.
• Relevant laboratory experience preferred.
