Research Associate - Process Development

This opportunity is with one of our Biotech clients that researches, develops, and commercializes antiviral drugs for HIV, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, and influenza, including Harvoni and Sovaldi.

About the role

This is a 12-month temporary onsite assignment located in Philadelphia, PA.

Responsibilities

• Works independently under the guidance of Scientists to execute laboratory experiments supporting viral vector production.
• Performs tasks to support day-to-day laboratory operations, including buffer/solution preparation, equipment cleaning, and calibration.
• Keeps accurate, detailed laboratory records and complies with all required training and safety guidelines.
• Performs data analysis and communicates technical outcomes in technical reports and presentations.

Requirements

• B.S. in Life Sciences or Engineering.
• Laboratory experience in pharmaceutical, life sciences, or biotech in an academic or industry setting.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with members of cross-functional teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to solve problems while anticipating downstream impacts.
• Highly organized with a strong attention to detail, clarity, accuracy, and conciseness.
• Able to lift up to 20 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with downstream unit operations such as centrifugation, filtration, and chromatography.
