About the role
The Department of Genetics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Research Associate positions in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years).
Responsibilities
- Designing and carrying out genetic experiments
- Preparation of manuscripts
- Supervision of students
- Receive mentorship in grants writing and grants proposals suitable to early-stage academic investigators
Requirements
- Expertise in the specific area of human genetics, developmental genetics, epigenetics, functional genomics, or computational genomics
- An M.D and/or Ph.D or equivalent degree
