Research Associate II Cytology

About the role

This opportunity involves conducting research development and manufacturing laboratory experimentation to support projects. The role requires designing, executing, and interpreting experiments while applying technical expertise toward project strategies.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute experimental protocols with minimal supervision, including making observations and analyzing data.
• Prepare and present technical reports, summaries, and quantitative analyses, while maintaining complete and accurate records.
• Troubleshoot problems and institute corrective actions.
• Work collaboratively in a team environment by providing creative solutions and input to project planning.
• Contribute to process improvement suggestions and assist in identifying patentable inventions.
• Train colleagues and monitor work to ensure quality and continuous adherence to the Quality First Time principle.
• Exercise judgment in selecting appropriate methods and techniques for complex problems.
• Maintain laboratory documentation in compliance with company policies such as GMP, GLP, and Design Control.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Science.
• 2-4 years of relevant post-college job experience.
• Proficiency in a range of specialized laboratory techniques.
• Capability of searching scientific literature.
• Skill in using word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
• Good communication skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Coachable and a proven ability and desire to learn.

Qualifications

• Experience handling cytology specimens and preparing cytology slides using the Hologic T2000 or the BD Totalys is preferred.

Work Environment

This is an onsite position in Oro Valley, AZ, requiring work in a laboratory setting where adherence to safety protocols is crucial. Dress code and facility conditions comply with industry standards.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $27.00/hr.
