Research Associate, Cell Culture
Job Summary
Sanaria is seeking a Senior Research Associate (MS) or Research Associate (BS) with strong cell culture experience to join our Gametocyte Production group. The selected candidate must be available to work on weekends and the weekly schedule is Saturday-Wednesday, with Thursday and Friday off.
About the Role
The Research Associate will be involved in various aspects of Sanaria's vaccine research and cGMP manufacturing process. They will be responsible for maintaining malaria parasite cultures and participating in research projects aimed at efficiency and scaling up.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and optimize malaria parasite cultures
- Participate in research projects focused on efficiency and scaling up
- Work on multiple simultaneous tasks
- Write technical reports and revise or write up new protocols
- Perform and document quantitative analyses
- Experience with sterile technique, microscopy, and cell culture is desirable
- Experience in cGMP manufacturing is preferred
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in biology, biotechnology, microbiology, or a related field
- 3+ years of relevant laboratory experience
- Excellent communication, writing, teamwork, and organizational skills
- Willingness to learn new experimental techniques
- Eligible to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship

Salary
The salary range for this position is $70-72k (BS) or $72-75k (MS). Salary is set based on candidate experience.
