Research Associate

About the role

The Research Associate assists in faculty-led research, operates and maintains scientific instrumentation, coordinates research activities, contributes to the teaching and training of students and research personnel, and ensures compliance with research regulations and procedures for the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The role exercises independent judgment in troubleshooting experiments, supporting data integrity, and assisting with compliance‑related procedures under faculty direction. The position reports to the Assistant Dean/Chair of Pharmaceutical Sciences and is institutionally funded (not grant‑dependent). Desired start date: October 1, 2026.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Science, or a related field
• At least two (2) years of experience in a scientific research laboratory
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs of research equipment or supplies
• Ability to reach overhead, bend, and squat to retrieve laboratory materials
• Ability to climb stools and/or ladders to reach top shelves
• Dexterity to use laboratory equipment and tools

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field (preferred)
