Qualifications
- A lawyer and member of the South Carolina Bar with at least 7 years of academic and/or practice experience in a field of law related to the proposed legislation.
- Experience in First Amendment Law and/or Litigation and family or children’s law is currently needed.
- Excellent research and writing skills with competency in effective oral communication.
- Ability to perform duties without partisan bias and without advocating for specific goals or positions.
- Ability to produce high quality work in a timely manner, adhering to agreed upon deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively and collegially with all staff of the South Carolina Law Initiative.
Work Schedule
Monday – Friday, varies on number of hours per day, but it’s expected 5 -10 hours per week.
