About the role
The Research Associate will work directly with the Principal Investigator (PI), Dr. Matt Kraft, to advance a range of ongoing research projects related to the teacher labor market and teacher compensation reforms. The position will play a supporting role in conducting background research on a wide range of topics, as well as analyzing a variety of labor market datasets.
Responsibilities
- Conduct background research on a wide range of topics related to teacher labor market and compensation reforms.
- Analyze various labor market datasets using Stata and/or R.
- Support the PI in conducting research projects related to the teacher labor market and teacher compensation reforms.
- Collaborate with the research team and external partners to advance knowledge initiatives.
Requirements
- A Master’s Degree in relevant field and 2 to 5 years of research experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Significant experience in K-12 teaching and/or working with federal datasets including those maintained by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
- A strong quantitative background.
- Experience using Stata and/or R to analyze data.
- A strong interest in education research.
Qualifications

- Ability to interact effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Skills with Google suite apps.
- Ability to work independently or as a member of a team.
Benefits
Preferable to work remotely. This is a fixed term position with the possibility of renewal annually. This position is contingent on funding.
