Research Associate
Position Summary
Bio-Techne's Luminex Operations manufactures made-to-order Luminex Multiplexing Assays that allow researchers to perform studies on a variety of different diseases that are critical for drug discoveries and clinical studies. As a Research Associate in Luminex Operations, you will be responsible for supporting manufacturing processes within various Luminex made-to-order assay platforms and to ensure quick product turnaround, high quality, and customer satisfaction. This is an exempt position.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate microparticle and biotin cocktails for made-to-order Luminex multiplex assays according to established SOPs.
- Perform qualification of Luminex assay components including microparticles and biotins stocks.
- Trouble shooting of non-confirming Luminex assays with guidance.
- Track and maintain inventory of assay components, requesting new stocks as required.
- Report and analyze data in multiple databases.
- Prepare and stock diluents and standards as needed to process orders.
- Follow guidelines for company safety, quality, training procedures, and regulation policies.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education And Experience
Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences or equivalent required with 0 to 2 years of work experience in a lab, or an associate's degree in Biological Sciences or related with a minimum of 2 years work experience in a lab.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Knowledge of laboratory equipment (e.g. pipettes, centrifuge, computers, etc.)
- Ability to handle repetitive tasks.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel.
- Capability to work in a fast-faced environment with shifting priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to plan, organize and multi-task to complete assignments in an efficient manner.
- Ability to pay attention to details and perform at a high-level accuracy.
- Proficiency in professional communication, both orally and in writing.
- Perform work independently on routine assignments or projects and work with a team.
Pay
Pay Range $40,300.00 - $66,250.00
