Research Associate - Analytical Testing

About the role

Support analytical testing for toxicity studies involving agricultural products, intermediates, metabolites, and impurities. Work under the guidance of a Principal Investigator to apply modern chromatographic and mass spectrometry techniques to generate high-quality analytical data in a GLP-regulated environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and non-routine analysis of toxicity study samples, including dose and diet formulations, in vitro samples, and animal matrices
  • Prepare, extract, and purify samples for chromatographic and mass spectrometric analysis
  • Develop and optimize chromatographic methods to separate, identify, and quantify active compounds and metabolites
  • Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation including HPLC, UHPLC, LC/UV, LC-MS/MS, radiochemical detectors, liquid scintillation counters, and fraction collectors
  • Generate accurate, reliable, and reproducible analytical data to support GLP studies and technical reports
  • Maintain detailed laboratory documentation and ensure data integrity
  • Perform routine laboratory and analytical equipment maintenance
  • Collaborate with scientists and project teams to meet study timelines and project objectives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a GLP laboratory environment
  • Hands-on experience with HPLC, UHPLC, and chromatographic method development
  • Experience with LC/MS and LC-MS/MS analytical techniques
  • Experience handling radiolabeled (¹?C) samples is highly preferred
  • Experience supporting regulated analytical testing and GLP documentation

Preferred Background

  • Experience supporting toxicology, agrochemical, environmental, pharmaceutical, or regulatory studies
  • Experience with radiochemical analytical techniques and ¹?C sample handling
  • Knowledge of biological sample extraction and purification
  • Familiarity with GLP regulations and regulated laboratory documentation

Job Type: Full-time Contract
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $35–50/hour, depending on experience
