About the role
This position offers an exciting opportunity to join an integrated and innovative academic research department focused on pharmacology and physiology. The successful candidate will participate in industry funded projects aimed at obesity and metabolic disorders. Both in vitro and in vivo approaches will be used. The successful candidate will also receive training in data analysis, manuscript preparation, and other aspects of professional development. Two years of funding have been secured for this position.
Responsibilities
- Participate in industry funded projects aimed at obesity and metabolic disorders using both in vitro and in vivo approaches.
- Receive training in data analysis, manuscript preparation, and other aspects of professional development.
- Support the research team in maintaining laboratory practices and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with faculty, post-docs, and students to advance research goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in biology, molecular biology, or related discipline and experience in in vitro and/or in vivo techniques.
- Experience with Excel, Word, or statistical software programs.
- Good organizational and analytical skills.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in biology, molecular biology, or related discipline.
- Master’s degree in biology, molecular biology, or related discipline preferred.
- Familiarity with laboratory practice and safety.
- Familiarity with experimental design.

Pay
$21.12 - $23.50 hourly.
Schedule
Typical work schedule is Monday - Friday, 8-hour shifts.
