Research Assistant - Department of Ophthalmology
About The Opportunity
Responsible for supporting the clinical research faculty in conducting clinical research. Duties and functions include but are not limited to administrative tasks (such as scheduling meetings, developing and maintaining databases, etc.), liaison tasks (such as with institutional review board, co-investigators, etc.), and direct clinical research activities (to include both patient care and non-patient care tasks). Will be expected to assume responsibility for ongoing management of multiple ongoing and planned clinical studies. Other duties as assigned.

Pay Grade: 15
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of one (1) year of administrative research support in a health care environment
- All qualifications must be met by the time of employment
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Excellent communication skills: writing and verbal
- Must be detail oriented and organized
- Basic computer knowledge and prior experience with all the Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational skills
- Internet proficiency and ability to gather data and prepare reports
- Ability to prioritize is a must
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Be present in a professional and positive manner
Preferred Qualifications
- An Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred
