Responsibilities
- Supports the investigative team in the planning, evaluation, implementation, and documentation of clinical trials.
- Maintains research databases; prepares and submits individual study progress reports as needed.
- Actively recruits, screens, enrolls, and schedules participants for various industry-sponsored or investigator-initiated trials.
- Schedules, coordinates, and confirms study visits.
- Obtains informed consent of study participants and ensures participant understanding and assessing willingness to continue with the study at each visit.
- Completes screening procedures for the review of the investigative team, conducts study visits, collects and processes data collection, completes research related forms, completes electronic data entry, and maintains study subject data and upload of source documents for various clinical trials.
- Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies and funding sources.
- Maintains appropriate regulatory files in compliance with ICH/GCP.
- Captures and processes data collection, completes research related forms, completes electronic data entry, and maintains study subject data and upload of source documents for various clinical trials.
- Coordinates the interim monitoring visits for source document verification as well as preparing/updating IRB submissions to central and local IRBs.
- Affirms the ability to perform a variety of research projects of limited complexity, collecting, evaluating, and interpreting data.
- Follows industry standards and safety regulations.
- Maintains excellent communication with the investigative team.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well independently with research participants, clinicians, and staff with minimal supervision.
- Possess strong skills for multitasking, meeting competing deadlines, prioritizing and supporting the investigator team.
- Bachelor's Degree in a basic science is required.
- Experience is not required.
- Preferred: Bilingual in Spanish.
