About the role
The University of Florida (UF) is launching a campus-wide initiative to attract clusters of faculty with expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI), particularly in the field of transcriptional regulation in neurodegenerative and cognitive disorders using machine learning and AI methods. As part of this initiative, the Genetics Institute (UFGI) seeks qualified applicants for a non-tenure track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate professor level.Expected Salary
The expected salary range for this position is $70,000-$85,000 and is negotiable based on experience.Minimum Requirements
Successful candidates should hold a Ph.D. and/or M.D., have experience in models of neurodegeneration/neuroinflammation, and possess experience working with nuclear receptors or other transcription factors and analyzing transcriptomic data. Proficiency in bioinformatic analysis of transcriptomic data and the application of machine learning and AI algorithms to such data is required.Preferred Qualifications
