Job Summary The Department of Epidemiology at the University of Michigan, School of Public Health is seeking a research data analyst with experience on assemblage and analyses of birth cohort and complex multigeneration datasets to examine the role of pre- and perinatal factors on offspring health outcomes using multiple statistical software including SAS. The position involves close collaboration with colleagues in Sweden. Responsibilities* Develop and document SAS code to assemble multigeneration birth cohort analysis-ready datasets from different nationwide Swedish registry data. Create and maintain data pipeline systems for local use. Conduct epidemiologic analyses of determinants of child healthConduct literature reviews to summarize current scientific evidence on study questionsLiaise with colleagues in Sweden for implementation and troubleshooting of statistical codeMaintain documentation of a biorepository of samplesParticipate in research group meetings, assist in manuscript writing for publication and preparation of research grant proposals as needed. Required Qualifications* Master's degree in epidemiology or in an equivalent population health quantitative data analysis field, such as biostatistics.2+ years of experience in management and analysis of longitudinal epidemiologic data. Experience with birth cohort / pediatric-perinatal data desirable.Demonstrable experience using SAS software for data management and/or analysis. Proficiency in R desirable.Strong organizational skills including experience prioritizing tasks and ability to balance multiple projects and timelines.Experience working with teams of collaborators from diverse backgrounds.
