Job Title: Research Administrator Duration: 3-month contract Job Description This role focuses on managing accounts receivable activities within a clinical research environment, ensuring accurate reconciliation of payments, timely invoicing, and clear financial reporting. You will support clinical trial operations by matching payments to invoices in a clinical trial management system and maintaining precise financial records in accordance with established accounting policies and procedures. Responsibilities Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with established financial policies and procedures.Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivable data.Prepare and issue bills and invoices, and coordinate the preparation of bank deposits.Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accurately accounted for and properly posted.Investigate and verify discrepancies in accounts receivable and resolve clients’ billing issues in a timely and professional manner.Facilitate payment of invoices by sending bill reminders and contacting clients as needed to secure payment.Generate financial statements and reports detailing the status of accounts receivable for internal stakeholders.Support clinical trial operations by clearing payments received against invoices within a clinical trial management system.Collaborate with clinical research and sponsor teams to ensure accurate financial tracking related to clinical trials.Maintain accurate data entry and documentation to support audits and compliance requirements.Apply fair credit practices and adhere to collection regulations when managing outstanding accounts.Provide customer-focused communication and negotiation when addressing payment issues with clients or sponsors. Essential Skills Demonstrated experience in accounts receivable, including billing, collections, and reconciliation.Strong reconciliation skills, with the ability to clear payments received against invoices within a clinical trial management system.Previous experience in clinical research and working with sponsors or clinical trial financial processes.Understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations.Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records accurately.Strong data entry skills with a high level of attention to detail and a knack for working with numbers.Hands-on experience with spreadsheets, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Experience using accounting software such as JDE or other full-scale ERP or accounting systems.Proficiency in English, including clear written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.Customer service orientation with the ability to handle billing inquiries professionally.Negotiation skills to manage and resolve payment and collection issues.High school diploma or equivalent as a minimum educational requirement. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working with clinical research systems, including clinical trial management platforms such as Clinical Conductor.Familiarity with PeopleSoft or similar enterprise financial systems.Experience collaborating with sponsors and clinical research teams on financial matters.Prior experience generating financial statements and accounts receivable status reports.Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining accountability and meeting deadlines.Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple accounts and tasks concurrently. Work Environment This is a remote position that allows you to support a leading hospital and research system from a home-based setting. You will work primarily with clinical trial management systems, accounting software such as JDE or other ERP platforms, and tools like Clinical Conductor, PeopleSoft, Microsoft Excel, and the broader Microsoft Office suite. The role involves regular virtual collaboration with clinical research and finance teams, as well as email and phone communication with clients and sponsors. The remote environment offers flexibility while still requiring reliable connectivity, professional communication, and a quiet, organized workspace suitable for focused financial and data entry tasks. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Altamonte Springs, FL. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
